Opulent and romantic, these Victorian Etruscan Revival drop earrings embody the era’s love of texture and ornament. Crafted in bloomed 15ct Gold, each articulated two-part drop centres a rich purple foiled Amethyst that glows with life, framed by a close halo of creamy Seed Pearls. Rope-twist bezels and foliate scroll terminals add that unmistakable 19th-century flourish, while the articulation lends a graceful, lively sway on the ear.

The design balances a smaller round cabochon above a larger round cabochon below, united by a slender link for beautiful movement. The Amethysts total approximately 5.00ct combined, their colour amplified by traditional foil-backing, with the Pearls bringing a delicate, luminescent contrast. Finished with classic shepherd-hook fittings, they’re a quintessential c.1870 Etruscan Revival treasure—ornate, feminine, and endlessly wearable.

MEASUREMENTS: Earrings are 42mm long including hooks.
Each earring is 16mm wide.
Upper Amethysts measure 5mm in diameter, approximately 1.40ct combined.
Lower Amethysts measure 8mm in diameter, approximately 3.60ct combined.
Total Amethyst weight approximately 5.00ct combined.
Seed Pearls measure 2mm in diameter.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.
